Is gay black friend really a trope? I don’t watch that many films but I thought there was more of an issue with characters being a whole TWO THINGS – eg gay and black, gay and disabled, black and autistic and so on… where the hell did gay black friend spring from!

It's hard to just enjoy how bafflingly bizarre this is, purely because of how utterly disrespectful I feel it is to the real Harland Sanders. He's not just a fictional mascot like the Burger King is, Harland was a real guy. This movie is just a gross decision, and I think KFC is awful for doing it.
Shoutout for the captions on this one. I am not a native english speaker so its really nice to have actual subtitles written by a human rather than the auto-translate thats not very reliable at times, but as if that wasnt enough, the kind human who worked on these also added humorous touches and details like '*nervous, tense laughter*' and its really comfortable to read while watching. i love how they gave one of the antagonists such a non-threatening name like "bunny" like i know you helped someone kidnap and try to off some random chicken guy, but i cannot take you seriously when you share a name with a small fuzzy and adorable woodland creature
this is the plot of titanic – a family left in debt by the dad with a young girl who's being married off bc her mother wants to keep her lifestyle, and the main love interest is a poor boy when eventually the girl rebels. Also the mom is more compatible with the fiance AND she calls her daughter selfish for not bending to her will
