Found out what it was they were making. Precision cutting machines. That's the whole thing. Glitter is pretty innocuous, but they make these machines specifically for precision cutting, of anything, including glitter.

Vaporizing aluminum to coat plastic film. And done so in certain ways to refract light in certain ways to get certain colours. Thats so fking advanced its not even funny.

It's 6 months after my initial comment here.. and by gosh, I am right. Turns out, that the precision cutting/shaping/producing of sheets of materials ARE used in solid rocket fuel. Because tiny precision shapes of exact known mass and geometry, are essential for producing a reliable, predictable fuel.
This is also true of many other end products used by our modern society.
So, it seems that it's not so much about the 'glitter', as it is about the production of minute, precise particles of x, whatever is needed for the making of food, plastics, composites, etc.

Delightful video as always. But I’m hung up on pronouncing chaff as shaff. I mean, didn’t you also grow up in Texas with judgement day sermons separating wheat from chaff? 🌾😇😈
